Oregon Brazing

The class provides a review of information and terminology found in the ORACCA brazing certification manual, viewing a video on brazing, a 40 question written closed book test, and practical brazing lab.

In order to obtain certification, applicants must pass the written exam with a score of 80% or better, in addition to successful completion of the practical lab-brazing test (total cumulative voids on all joint of less than 25%). The tests are graded and certification is issued by ORACCA upon successful completion

Cost & Payment
The cost for the ORACCA certification class is: $195 for RSES members, and $275.00 for non-members. This cost covers the study guide, classroom insruction, written and practical testing, and certification card. Retests are $55.00 (You must have taken the original test through RSES).

If you do not inform us 24 hours in advance or fail to show up for you class, you will be charged a Transfer fee of $25.00 to cover the Administrative cost to re-schedule you to the next class. If unable to attend when notified, Please Call 503-703-3361 (Cell) and we will waive the added charge.

Payment
can be made by check or cash. When paying by check, make it payable to Multnomah Chapter Seminar Committee and mail it with a completed registration form to:

Important Information
Space is limited to 16 participants, per class on a first come first served basis. So register early. Once we receive your registration form and payment, you will be sent an ORACCA Study guide and letter informing you of the date, time and location of the class, as well as a list of equipment you will need to bring for the practical test.

Once you have received the study guide. It is highly recommend that you read it thoroughly before the test date.


Certificate Member Exams

RSES currently has eight members on record, wanting to take the CM exam. If any of you are ready to schedule your exam please call (503) 242-1929 or (503)703-3361.

Note:
There is no cost to take this exam other than your time. It is a 150 question test. You must pass by 70% to obtain CM status. When taking this test you will find out what area(s) of knowledge you need to concentrate on.

NATE Certification

Refrigerant Handling Certification # 608
The Multonomah Chapter of RSES is able to retain books and exams to administer this certification on a one to one basis. Cost for the newly revised Study Guide is $20. Cost for the exam is $60.00. For group testing please contact the Multnomah Chapter by phone at (503) 242-1929.

Note:

RSES does not use your Social Security Number as Certifying Number.
